STOP THE NATIONAL ID CARD!!

[Our article about the REAL ID Act passing the Senate without debate and what is being done about it can be seen in the current SHADOW (Issue #52) and by clicking this link. What follows is why we are urging anyone that cares about stopping fascism in the US to do something about this latest step toward complete martial law.]

The implementation of a National ID Card in the US with a trackable RFID chip will be another step toward higher technological levels of repression, including implanting chips in people and forced mandatory injections under the guise of giving us vaccinations, whether we want them or not.

This is a Hitlerian wet dream the Nazis could only have fantasized about!! Remember that to attain complete power in Germany, the Nazi regime had to do it in stages. By the time folks figured out that things had gone too far, it was too late to stop the Nazis -- by then, the freedom that people had had been given up and taken away.

In May 2008, the National ID Card Program takes effect in the US. Between now and then, and especially as we get closer to May, we can expect to be bombarded with Madison Avenue-type sales pitches and propaganda with phony reasons as to why the card will be a GOOD thing, by the ever-compliant corporate-government mainstream media which will do its best to form public opinion ahead of time to gain our acceptance of the card and further acquiescence of our civil liberties.

They'll tell us that we need the National ID Card to stop illegal aliens from "invading" the US border and from stealing jobs in the US, as if an ID card can stop anyone from sneaking into ANY country or working anywhere!! (Who is REALLY to blame for the losses of US jobs anyway? Is it "illegal" immigrants coming to live here under adverse conditions, looking for work and striving for a piece of the Amerikan dream, like so many other immigrants before them, OR are the losses of US jobs due to the US corporations that lay off tens of thousands of workers at a time, declaring record profits as they close manufacturing plants, devastating small towns and cities all over the country by imploding local economies in the process and then sending those jobs OVERSEAS?)

They'll also tell us that the National ID Card will stop "terrorism." Anyone with a brain understands that the REAL terrorists are in Washington, DC, but even if there were "terrorists" in the US, who could possibly believe that some sort of an ID card could stop a suicide bomber or ANYone from doing what they are determined to do?

And they will give us other equally absurd reasons to accept the card and go along with the program. As May 2008 nears, whether or not the public brainwashing  has taken hold, it will be impressed upon us that it is a done deal, that we have no choice -- we MUST accept the card. They are already telling us that those who do not have the card will not be allowed to have a bank account, fly on a plane, or enter federal buildings, and that there will be other restrictions and penalties....

It is IMPERATIVE that we ALL do something about stopping the National ID Card from taking effect RIGHT NOW!!  It is NOT a "done deal" and it CAN be stopped!! Already, many states, including Georgia, Wyoming, Montana, Vermont, New Mexico and Washington state are in the process of passing laws and resolutions against participating in this scam because enough people have voiced their objections. Predictably, this news has been ignored and under-reported by the mainstream media.

Your response to this latest threat to our civil liberties can range from raising awareness about what the National ID Card really means by using web sites and other alternative media, letters to mainstream media, leafleting, stickers, graffiti, tabling, demonstrations, etc., to encouraging non-compliance and boycotting of the National ID Card program, putting pressure on local elected officials to pass resolutions and laws against the card and on Senators + Congressmen to rescind HR418. AND, most importantly, you can use your imagination to do whatever it takes to accomplish the desired result!!

For example, what do you think would happen if enough people withdraw their money from and refuse to do business with banks which refuse to let them have an account without the National ID Card? What if people refuse to fly with airlines that insist on their having a National ID Card? The banking and airline lobby would very quickly put pressure on their bought-and-paid-for shills in the Senate and Congress to kill the National ID Card!! This can happen before May 2008 rolls around, if we all let the banks and airlines know RIGHT NOW that they will be boycotted en masse if the REAL ID Act isn't rescinded!!
